REED Education are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants for our alternative provision client based in Newport.

Providing education and support for Key Stage 3 and 4 learners who are not accessing mainstream schools, the school believe in providing opportunities to enable pupils to flourish and thrive through character building opportunities and a balanced curriculum.

All learners have severe Social, Emotional and Behavioural Disorders (SEBD). With this in mind, the pupils can at times display quite challenging behaviour towards themselves, other pupils and yourself as a staff member therefore, the role would suit a strong character who is resilient, firm but fair, caring and can show empathy when needed with a Team Teach qualification who can respond to these issues in the same holistic way the centre itself would.

Although sometimes challenging, the rewards that come from assisting pupils with SEBD will offer great job satisfaction and sense of achievement.

To provide the learners with the best level of support, you will have experience of assisting pupils with additional learning needs within a specialist setting such as SEBD. This is an essential requirement for this role.

For an immediate discussion regarding this role please call me on 02920 386515 or alternatively you can email myself on requesting a call back at a convenient time for you.

REED Education are currently working with a number of ALN Schools and provisions throughout South Wales with varying levels of specialist needs, recruiting Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
