Our client is the leading information provider of financial market intelligence to the Global alternative asset classes and is looking for a Sales Data Support Executive to create targeted sales leads in the CRM to underpin business development activities across the globe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful Sales & Marketing team and will require efficient use of the internal systems and a good understanding of the market, competition etc to identify key targets on a project basis. The role is predominantly office based in London.

Responsibilities include:

Proactively identify non-subscribing target firms & contacts who meet certain project criteria. For example, a project could be key targets in a US city or firms.

Create sufficient lead Opportunities in CRM daily & assign these to relevant Business Development Executives to follow up. These leads need to be relevant to the designated project and validated accordingly

Add key intelligence (for example; other active users in same office) in the Tactics field in the CRM Opportunity to aid BDE follow up

Research and understand the market and work closely with the Client Engagement Manager and BDEs to identify and target key sectors.

Report on Opportunity volume & status on a project by project basis

Maintain up-to-date records to ensure that all contacts with prospective customers, issues, opportunities and competitive are fully recorded and evaluated. The software currently used for this purpose is Microsoft CRM

Liaise with colleagues within the company so as to keep fully up-to-date with all the latest product related developments

Keep colleagues within the company fully informed of your activities and of all developments within the marketplace, both informally and through formal reporting

Assess sales literature used by the team and take a view as to whether it can be improved. If so, co-ordinate this work and ensure each team member uses this in an effective way

Support the Client Engagement team with other duties as and when required

When requested, attend company events to network with prospects to identify new opportunities for the Sales team

The ideal candidate for this role will be a switched on Graduate with strong analytical and research skills and a key eye for detail. Drive and determination and the ability to work as a proactive and positive team player are all very important too. Experience working with data systems and Excel is an advantage as is any commercial experience within Customer / Client Services or Sales.
