This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a market leading company within their high performing Finance team as an Accounts Assistant to cover at least a 6 month fixed term contract, based in a great location within Newcastle City Centre.

Client Details

The client renowned for the service they provide, is a market leading company based in Newcastle City Centre. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their high performing Finance team for at least a 6 month fixed term contract.


As an Accounts Assistant the duties would include:

  • Processing Member payments
  • Processing Correspondent payments

  • Processing Urgent payments

  • Providing support to the wider payment team

  • Covering other payment roles when necessary

  • Liaising with internal and external customers to resolve general payment queries

  • General administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and scanning


The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience within a similar role
  • Will have experience with Sage X3 or SunSystems (desirable)
  • Have a great working knowledge of MS Office especially MS Excel
  • Have exposure to multi currency payments (desirable)
  • Be working towards an AAT qualification (desirable)
  • Be able to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Be a team player
  • Have effective communication skills
  • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines
