We are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Business Partner (Commercial Finance Manager) for our client, a highly regarded, leading housing association based in the Merseyside area. In this highly visible role you will report to the Director of Business Planning & Analysis and the CFO, and will Business Partner with Executive Directors and senior managers across their business areas, providing commercial insight and technical financial skills to support the Group with achieving its strategic & financial objectives. Leading the finance team you will also have the broader remit of delivering growth initiatives, process improvement, margin enhancement and commercial opportunities ensuring the service is efficient, value for money and continually developed. Duties will include:

- Providing strategic, commercial & financial insight, advice and support to Executive Directors, senior managers and governance bodies across all aspects of financial management.
- Leading & developing a team of finance professionals to provide the highest possible level of service by regularly reviewing work outputs, setting improvement targets and appraising individual performance.
- Advising, guiding, coaching and influencing Executive Directors and senior managers.
- Ensuring that business decisions are underpinned by sound and appropriate financial planning, analysis and expertise.
- Financial modelling, scenario planning, business case preparation and option appraisal to support effective decision making and improved business performance.
- Effectively managing and developing relationships with Executive Directors, senior managers and other senior stakeholders.
- Developing and owning financial business planning and analysis.
- Owning, preparing and delivering business performance insight and reporting including regular forecasting, commentary and identification of performance variances.
- Leading initiatives to improve and develop financial literacy awareness and understanding across the business.
- Input into statutory, regulatory or other external reporting as required.
- Driving continuous improvement across the business, promoting sound financial and business management, accountability, efficiency and value for money.

Applicants must be fully Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA with a high commercial acumen and proven leadership skills and evidence of coaching & mentoring a team in challenging, fast paced environments. You will have significant experience of the provision of strategic business insight in a complex or high risk environment and a proven track record of building successful relationships with senior business leaders. You will also have the ability to influence, negotiate and challenge at a senior level and will have the persona and gravitas to present complex financial information to a variety of audiences. A formal qualification or project management experience across Prince 2, LEAN, Six Sigma will be of particular interest.
