PA / Office Manager
Public Health and Intelligence (PHI), a strategic business unit of NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) is looking for an experienced PA/Office Manager to provide a comprehensive PA service to an Associate Director, and be responsible for managing a team of staff providing PA/administrative support based in Gyle.
The PA Office Manager will undertake a wide range of duties to deliver a confidential secretarial and administrative support service as required and may also act as secretariat for meetings and steering groups involving key stakeholders from across Scotland and therefore excellent communication skills combined with good planning and organisation skills are required for the role.
The PA Office Manager will also be responsible for identifying and initiating any development requirements for a team of staff and to undertake their annual appraisals.
Educated to HND level in a business related subject or equivalent experience, with proven experience in the NHS or a similar complex organisation, you will also have previous line management experience and a good working knowledge of MS Office. A knowledge of PECOS and Crown administration would be beneficial, though training will be provided. Experience of minute taking is essential.
Equally important to the role are initiative and excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem solving skills as well as leadership qualities to help you manage staff and stakeholders. You must be able to travel as you may be required to travel throughout Scotland.
