Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Associate in Child Psychology

Part-time 18.45 hours per week, Permanent
Band 7, Salary scale, £32,013– £42,205 per annum, pro rata

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Associate in Child Psychology, to join our multi-disciplinary service. Salary scale Band 7 according to experience. We see children and young people from 0 to 18 years and their families and offer a range of interventions. The referrals to the service are diverse.

The post holder will be required to see children and young people with a range of psychological and mental health difficulties, offer consultation to other professions. They may also be required to participate in the emergency overdose assessment rota and on-call system. Experience of working with children and young people with complex problems will be required. We have a varied in-house programme of supervision and CPD, there are opportunities for external training, and we have good links with partner agencies and national bodies. We are a combined psychology and psychiatry service, a number of specialist teams and projects, including Primary Mental Health Workers.

We have well-appointed premises in Falkirk and Stirling and the post-holder will be required to travel to different bases. We have a highly efficient administrative and secretarial team. We have close links with training courses and are a popular choice for trainee placements and look forward to welcoming a new colleague to our friendly team.
