Our Client, one of the UK’s top digital marketing agencies seeks a bright and ambitious web developer to work on a selection of new services as well as supporting existing services.Key duties and responsibilities
  • Plan and implement websites from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable
  • Code and implement WordPress sites from Photoshop/Sketch layout through html/CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins (if required - ideally functionality to should be created natively)
  • Specify and implement new features, enhancements, and content of existing websites
  • Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline WordPress development cycle
  • Facilitate client WordPress training, site documentation and maintenance
  • Work with API’s from a number of different sources to integrate 3rd party applications into WordPress based websites
Skills required
  • 3+ years’ experience working in web development (or equivalent academic training)
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress
  • Strong knowledge of current web development languages (including HTML5, CSS3, PHP/MySQL)
  • Familiarity with web standards and usability
  • User of social media / can utilise development information portals
  • Flexibility and eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and changing technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time attention to detail
Any exposure to the following is advantageous
  • Familiarity with video for web a plus
  • Working knowledge of Javascript/VBScript
  • Familiarity with ASP .net & web server configurations (Windows and Linux) a plus
  • Experience with dynamic, geo-related, data-driven and/or e-commerce sites
