An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Driver to join the Gloucestershire out of hours (OOH) service on a permanent, full or part time basis. The Gloucestershire OOH service provides advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period when their own GP surgery is closed. The service is open from 1830 - 0800 Monday to Thursday and from 1830 on Friday to 0800 on Monday which means that there is a requirement to work during these periods of time. The OOH’s operates out of 6 existing primary care centres (PCCs) throughout Gloucestershire, so we can offer you shifts at a location near you! • Gloucester • Cheltenham • Moreton-on-Marsh • Dilke • Stroud • Cirencester Within this job you will be responsible for: • Chauffeuring visiting clinicians to and from the PCCs to patients in their own homes within Gloucestershire • Assisting in our PCCs as a receptionist • Carruing out all driving duties in a safe and legal manner, complying with current driving regulations and the Highway Code. • Ensuring that the car is checked, prepared and serviceable before the start of your shift. • Completing logbooks and personal time sheets • Performing courtesy calls to patients to confirm arrival.

The Requirements

In order for you to be considered for the job, as a minimum we are looking for you to: • Have a good general standard of education. • Have previous experience of working as a driver. • Have good IT skills, including keyboard/typing skills • Have a good telephone manner • Have excellent road map reading skills • Have a full UK driving license with no more than 3 points.

We currently have bank jobs available. Bank means ad-hoc work, so we can offer you shifts to fit around your lifestyle.
