Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Procurement Officer to join their highly reputable company. This is a new position due to continued growth and you will play a key role in developing a high performing procurement function.

Candidates will have previous procurement experience and a proven track record of leading and inspiring teams to deliver a robust, agile, customer-focused and high-performing service.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Identifying, negotiating and implementing agreements
  • Maintaining accurate auditable records of all procurement process which result in high process compliance
  • Conducting efficient and collaborative procurement which is corporately compliant
  • Ensuring that the Procurement policies and processes are fully adhered to and enforced

Skills and experience necessary:

  • Ideally CIPS qualified
  • 2+ years experience in a Procurement role
  • IT literate
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience of procurement led activities i.e. tender process, supplier relationships, contract management
  • Experience of tracking and dealing with enquiries and working to deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills including prioritising own workload
  • Effective negotiating and influencing skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to recognise and suggest improved ways of working
  • Contract and supplier relationship management
  • Strong team player and approachable personality
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritise own work and perform under pressure, meet deadlines and be resilient

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £28,000.00 to £35,000.00 /year
