The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital has a vacancy for a JOINER CRAFTSPERSON. The post requires applicant to be time served Joiner/Carpenter who has completed a recognised apprenticeship with substantial post apprenticeship experience. You must have the ability and knowledge to carry out repair and installation of all aspects of joinery and carpentry 1st and 2nd fix within commercial buildings. It would be desirable to have a good level of knowledge, understanding and experience of suspended ceiling systems, metal and timber door/frame installations, stud wall installations and window systems in large healthcare premises. You will also have responsibilities to assist with training and education of apprentices and adult trainees ensuring they gain the necessary training and experience to meet the needs of their training program, this will also include some work with managers to identify and set up the training programs.
