We are currently seeking an experienced manager to manage and oversee all operational aspects of Mortuary services in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The Mortuary service provides all aspects of Adult and Paediatric Mortuary services for the NHS and also for the Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Service. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality mortuary service and for making the best use of all resources including staff, equipment and consumables in an environment that is safe and conducive to best working practice. This will involve deployment of staff across various sites within Glasgow and Clyde. You will be qualified to Degree level in a relevant science subject, or to Diploma level in Anatomical Pathology Technology (RSPH Diploma Level 4 or equivalent qualification or equivalent demonstrable knowledge gained through training and experience). In addition, you must also have post-graduate (or equivalent) level management knowledge gained through completion of a formal management qualification or equivalent evidence of management knowledge through experience. You must have significant demonstrable operational management experience of a Mortuary service and must have management experience at a senior level, including experience of staff training, staff supervision and mentoring. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be organised, self motivated, adaptable and detail oriented.
