Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 7/8a Adults Safeguarding Practitioner/Nurse to fill a part time role based in Wigan.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled, innovative and creative individual with excellent communication skills.

The specialist will need to be able to work independently and as part of the wider Safeguarding Team.

The role will cover a wide range of community-based healthcare services in 4 main areas; Wigan, Halton, Warrington and St Helens; but also covering services in neighbouring boroughs and including sexual health and dental.

The successful applicant will be a qualified nurse with current registration to practice.

This is a part time role for 22.5 hours per week (with flexibility on days and hours).

The role will also include:
Working with senior subject experts, the individual will take the lead for adult safeguarding and provide quality assurance to the Associate Director and the Executive Director for Safeguarding.

The candidate will be instrumental in the organisational role for safeguarding and ensure a high quality and standard of practice within our services and influence across the wider partnership, through multi agency strategic forums and attendance at SABs may be required to represent the organisation.
