Payroll Assistant
Location: Brighton
Salary: £20,249 - £21,463
12 Month Fixed Term Contract

I have great pleasure in supporting our highly reputable client in the recruitment of a Payroll Officer to join their friendly finance team.


* Monthly absence input and reconciliation including calculating SSP and sick pay entitlements
* Processing monthly starters, leavers and contractual amendments
* Monthly claims and expenses input and reconciliation
* Assist the Payroll & HR Systems Manager
* Experience of working with HR and Payroll software such as Carval

The right candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

* CIPP qualified or equivalent experience in a similar role
* Experience and knowledge of in-house payroll systems and HR systems
* Experience of payroll administration and processing in a busy payroll department
* Experience of working with HR and Payroll software such as Carval
* Understanding of internal controls and audits
* Great attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
* Commitment to working as a positive and constructive team member
* Knowledge of HMRC legislation with regard to PAYE and RTI
