Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Part-time 30 hours per week, Permanent
Band 8C, Salary: £57,232 - £70,559 per annum pro rata

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced clinical psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary service. We see children and young people from 0 to 18 years and their families and offer a range of interventions. The referrals to the service are diverse demanding different levels of intervention including complex multi-agency input. In addition to the Core-CAMHS team there are other specialist roles in LAAC, Paediatrics and Learning Disabilities. This post has a broad remit and is working at consultant level with requisite responsibilities. In addition to providing direct clinical care to complex cases, the post holder will also be required to take a lead role, in collaboration with the Head of Child and Family Clinical Psychology, to ensure that the clinical psychology service is delivered in accordance with best practice standards. This will include supporting the development and delivery of psychological interventions and psychological therapies strategy across the whole service as well as advising on appropriate measures, modalities and service evaluation. There will also be a key role in staff and clinical and governance.

Experience of working with children and young people with complex problems will be required as is experience of working at a senior level influencing practice and ensuring safe systems of working.

NHS Forth Valley CAMHS is characterised by a team dedicated to providing best practice in CAMHS. We have a varied in-house programme of supervision and CPD and there are opportunities for external training. We also have very good links with partner agencies and national bodies. We have well-appointed premises across Falkirk and Stirling and a highly efficient administrative and secretarial team.
