The Client:

An instantly recognisable and market-leading business who have been manufacturing paint and various decorative coatings for over 50 years.

The Role:

  • You will lead a small team of 4-7 in Branch and be responsible for all aspects of running the business as if it were your own
  • You will need to have a relentless Sales focus and be comfortable managing Customer Accounts/increasing their spend/generating new business, as this is one of the main areas you will be targeted on
  • You will need to be hands on to ensure that the Branch is consistently well presented and high levels of customer service are delivered

The Successful Candidate:

  • A commercially astute leader who can demonstrate retail management, team leadership and a consultative sales approach
  • Ideally you will be experienced in continually striving to improve store performance through regularly reviewing Sales/KPI results and identifying areas for development in the sale of key lines
  • You will currently be an Assistant Manager, Department Manager or Branch Manager in the Paint, Coatings, Trade or DIY sector
  • Product knowledge is strongly preferred, however candidates from other backgrounds may be considered (especially with a strong interest in DIY as a hobby)
  • A background or experience in Sales would be ideal, as Account Management and new business generation forms a large part of this role
  • You must be enthusiastic, engaging and willing to work hard
  • Please note that a current and valid Driving Licence is required and applicants without this will unfortunately not be considered

Salary & Benefits:

  • Starting salary of up to £27k (depending on experience)
  • Bonus of up to 25% of salary (paid Quarterley)
