Our client is an internationally-present Corporate/Commercial firm. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join their highly regarded Corporate team, based in their Leeds office. Our client advises on the full range of corporate merger and acquisition transactions, for both private and public companies, and in addition have significant private equity and financial services transactional expertise and resource.
The award winning team in Leeds is recognised as tier 1 in Yorkshire, regularly advising on the most high profile transactions in the region and nationally.
Outline of the role
Our client is looking for experienced corporate lawyers, who can add to the corporate transactional expertise in the Leeds team. Successful candidates will run their own transactions, with appropriate support where needed, and will work alongside partners on a wide range of corporate instructions, for local, national and international clients.
We have a strong culture of support and collaboration and as a member of the team, you will be encouraged to contribute to business and practice development activities and also to assist with the supervision and development of other team members.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
We expect candidates to have strong grounding in company law and corporate transactional work derived from relevant post qualification periods. Experience in private equity transactions would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite.
You should have gained at least four years' experience in corporate transactional roles in order to have gained the range of skills and expertise required for the position. This experience should ideally have been gained in a major national, international, City or equivalent firms but applicants from other backgrounds will be considered if they can demonstrate the required level of corporate transactional experience.
