An exciting opportunity has arisen within Fife Paediatric Service due to retirement and changes within service delivery. We are currently in the process of moving from a speech and language class with some outreach provision towards a total outreach service for children in East Fife with Developmental Language Disorders (DLD). The outreach service commences fully in January 2018.

You will be part of an outreach team alongside a specialist teacher and PSA which will support children with DLD in their mainstream schools. The model developed will provide different levels of support dependent on the particular needs of the child, family and education provision but will include direct work with children and their families and building the capacity of teaching/education staff within the schools.

Fife SLT service is professionally managed within the Fife wide services division of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership. The post will be based in the Randolph Wemyss Memorial Hospital and will be part of the North East geographical cluster of SLTs.

You will also form close working relationships with the temporary posts funded by the Scottish Government Attainment Challenge/Pupil Equity Fund (PEF) monies.
