Senior Clinical Fellow in Neonatology
TO APPLY PLEASE ENSURE YOU ONLY DOWNLOAD, COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE JOB PACK AVAILABLE FROM Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow post based within the neonatal service at Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow from August 2018 for a period of 12 months. The service offers an exceptional breadth of neonatal clinical experience including management of both extreme preterm infants and infants with complex fetal anomalies. The unit provides renal support therapy, neonatal surgical services, neonatal complex airway services and the Scottish ECMO service (one of four U.K. ECMO units). The Scottish neonatal cardiology and cardiac surgical services are also delivered from this site and opportunities are available to obtain training in neonatal echocardiography. The co-located maternity unit delivers approx 6,200 births/year and the NICU is one of the largest in the UK having 30 ICU/HDU cots and 20 CBU cots. Applicants must have middle-grade experience in Neonatology and be able to demonstrate competency in neonatal resuscitation, intubation and management of ventilated infants. The posts would suit both UK trainees seeking out of programme experience/training to enhance their level 2/3 neonatal training and international trainees seeking a training opportunity that parallels UK grid training - a number of such trainees have used it for this purpose in recent years.
