A Project Co-ordinator / Activities Manager is required at a Public Sector Client in Rochdale initially until the end of March.

The client is looking for a skilled and experienced organiser to support their systems operational team with resource scheduling and management. The ideal person should be proactive, personable and able to drive and motivate other people to meet service and project delivery targets. You will act as a key player in the organisation and operation of an already busy team and assist the leadership with day-to-day scheduling of staff resources for particular tasks and projects assigned to ICT. You should have excellent communication skills and will be required to liaise with all levels of our organisation and its customers.

Principal Duties
1. Schedule tasks according to the priorities agreed by the System Manager and availability of resources
2. Ensure all work is on track and carried out in line with agreed schedules
3. To resolve priority conflicts and dependencies where possible and to escalate where the post holder is unable to do so.
4. To manage small technical projects
5. To ensure all agreed processes around work identification, review and analysis, prioritization, tracking, scheduling, resolution and implementation are understood and followed by the Operations team.
7. To act as key communicator with internal and external customers with regard to both prioritized work and during incident resolution.
8. To contribute to the business planning processes of the team and participate in the setting and monitoring of targets within the performance management framework.
9. From time to time and when workload permits, address less complex incidents and service requests.
10. To be a key contributor to process improvement particularly within the systems team.
