Water Network Field Technician
Location: Across Northamptonshire
An exciting permanent position has arisen for a Water Network Field Technician to join the Water Networks Team based in the Northamptonshire area.
As a Water Network Field Technician you will be part of a largely field-based team and be at the frontline for delivering outstanding customer service.
The role will entail operation of our water distribution network, including:
* Water quality investigations and sampling
* Leakage detection
* Flow and pressure checks
* Asset inspection and proactive maintenance
* Responding to and resolving customer enquiries
If successful, you'd be provided with plenty of hands-on training and job shadowing within the team. Once fully trained, you will use your asset maps, data and tools to resolve both planned and reactive operational problems in a thorough and timely manner. You'll be required to liaise with customers on a day-to-day basis, using your skills and expertise to deliver high-levels of customer service and keep them informed every step of the way.
As the face of Anglian Water, you will be an ambassador for the company, demonstrating a can do approach to all enquiries. Your flexible ability to work as an individual or as part of a team will ensure you deliver a professional service to our customers.
As the ideal candidate, you'll posses exceptional proven customer services skills combined with a strong technical/practical aptitude. You'll be able to demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills and be IT literate. Experience of the utilities or construction industries could be an advantage but not essential.
This role requires you to work a 37 hour week, however you will need a flexible approach to working hours as you'll be required to be on a standby rota and undertake overtime as and when required. This is a mobile role which will involve travelling to various locations across the Northamptonshire area. You will benefit from access to a company vehicle whilst at work, so a full UK driving licence is essential. If successful in your application, the status of your driving licence will be checked.
