Fixed Term For One Year (1 August 2018 to 31 July 2019)

An opportunity has arisen for a Full-time Fixed Term Clinical Fellow (Post CCT or as OOPE) in Gastroenterology to join the dynamic team of Gastroenterologists in NHS Tayside.

This is a new post to work alongside our existing Clinical Fellow. The post offers the opportunity to obtain further training in advanced endoscopic techniques. Specialist training opportunities would be tailored following negotiation with the successful candidate and could include EUS, EMR (Lower), Advanced Polypectomy and/or RFA. There is no requirement for ward work or on call.

Involvement in the active clinical research of the department, completion of a Train the Endoscopy Trainers Course and teaching on the local JAG accredited endoscopy training courses will be encouraged.

CCST/CCT/CESR (CP) in Gastroenterology or appropriate Specialty by 1 August 2018 is desirable or approval for OOPE will be required.

This is a full-time post for a Fixed Term period of 1 Year. It will consist of a mix of clinical duties (2-3) specialist training lists, 4-5 mixed endoscopy lists and 1 out-patient clinic) plus time for administration, continued professional development and research activities.
