Senior Consultant - PACS and Radiology Information Systems
The PACS Programme is a large scale change programme which sets out to deliver technologies to deliver diagnostic services across Scotland as well as comprehensive sharing of the radiological image and its report.
This role is central to the delivery of a success in the PACS programme and the post holder must be capable of applying technical knowledge and skills as appropriate to ensure that the Business As Usual (BAU) and Projects agenda in PACS are delivered successfully.
He/She works closely with the PACS Programme Team, the PACS Programme Manager and all local radiology departments.
1. Ensuring user perspectives are fully represented at all stages of the programme. 2. Providing an operational perspective in relation to PACS issues and operating as an advocate for PACS and RIS in acute radiology and Breast Screening.3. Contribute to the implementation of the PACS Technical Refresh Projects4. Contribute to key decisions taken by the National PACS Change Advisory Board.5. Resolution of escalated operational and implementation issues with individual PACS sites across Scotland.6. Assisting in the realisation of benefits and the management of risks at programme level.7. Assist in the contract and service management activities including attendance at governance and supplier meetings8. As a member of the PACS Programme Team, ensure the objectives of the Programme and implementation are clear and remain aligned to the corporate needs of NHS Scotland and the objectives of participating NHS organisations.
