Global Identity Product Manager

Location: Blackfriars, London, UK

Job Focus:

The Global Identity Product Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the software product lifecycle for Experian's global identity products. This starts with product planning and product vision, through development of the product and post-release management, maintenance and sunset lifecycles. The product manager manages the process through interaction with clients and prospects, and by working with an internal cross-functional team that includes global and regional Marketing, regional Sales, Software Development and Delivery. The product manager will lead the organization related to the markets they serve and the product they own and have knowledge of competitive solutions. You will act as ambassador, champion and evangelist for the products you manage and have the ability to operate at a range of levels across the business.


  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for our industry-leading identity products
  • Think globally while managing the competing regional demands
  • Ability to lead but not always manage the extended product team
  • Gather business and market requirements from prospects, customers of earlier versions of the product, domain experts, technology visionaries, market experts and products/solutions from competing vendors
  • Create and prioritize product requirements which synthesize and balance the needs of various stakeholders and markets around the globe and provide corresponding justifications
  • Triage ideas and identify those worth perusing
  • Defend your position when challenged with facts and not simply opinions
  • Create requirements specifications that will guide the engineering team to build the product
  • Manage the backlog and prioritize for sprint planning
  • Develop a close working partnership with Experian business analysts to perform role responsibilities
  • Work with third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Be able to perform product demos to internal and external audiences, and train regional sales and field experts to do the same
  • Collaborate with Marketing to assist the development of sales tools and collateral
  • Work with a cross-functional team to manage communications, expectations, conflicts, etc.
  • Ensure product quality by working closely with the Engineering and QA departments
  • Perform competitive analysis as to how the products are behaving in the market, vis-à-vis other products catering to the same/similar customer segments
  • Solicit features and benefits from the users of the software product, users of competitive products, and from analysts
  • Maintain familiarity with fraud mitigation processes and the daily workings of a fraud-mitigation department


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent) in a technical field
  • Masters degree in business administration (desirable)
  • Strong demonstrable experience of software product management experience
  • Practical experience of Agile and Waterfall approaches
  • Good understanding of the global fraud & ID markets and business drivers
  • Travel Required 5% - 20% (UK and/or international)
