The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is a large teaching hospital with an established reputation for offering the best practice across a wide variety of specialist services. Our vision as a Pharmacy department is to create an environment where each person in the team has the opportunity to flourish develop and deliver the highest standards of pharmaceutical care for every patient. It is an exciting time for our department as we prepare for the integration of pharmacy services and develop pharmaceutical care to adults and children when the RHSC/DCN hospital opens in 2018. As part of the integration process the clinical pharmacy service will undergo a re-design and post holders may be required to provide services to a variety of specialities across the service.

We are looking for a highly motivated enthusiastic pharmacists to join the pharmacy team delivering the highest quality pharmacy services in the CTR directorate (Cardiothoracic Cardiology and Respiratory). The post holders will contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service to assure quality of patient care in the provision of treatment with medicines whilst also being a key member of the multidisciplinary teams; where pharmacists have an established non-medical prescribing role.

Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent; be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have completed the Scottish Hospital Pharmacy Vocational Training Scheme or equivalent. Your experience will have been gained working in a patient focussed environment using your knowledge and skills to improve patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines.
