Experienced Payroll Manager required

Hays Accountancy and Finance are currently recruiting for a higher education organisation where there is a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will manage the Payroll and Payroll bureau services ensuring effective customer services focused ensuring all staff are paid correctly and on time ensuring that appropriate information and payments are provided to the pension schemes, HMRC and other bodies within the required deadlines. The Head of Payroll Services is also responsible for providing information to staff and customers on a range of payroll-related areas on a timely basis.
- Plan and Schedule payroll work flow to deliver customer service excellence ensuring KPI deadlines are met
- Responsible for HMRC reporting for all payrolls which includes reconciliation of Income Tax, National Insurance Contributions and other deductions, producing P60s and P11Ds and ensuing compliance with HMRC legislative requirements.
- Proactively keeping up to date on, and advising management and bureau customers on, existing and new legislation particularly in relation to Income Tax, National Insurance Contributions, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, self-employed individuals, RTI and P11D reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be CIPP qualified or qualified by experience of leading a large payroll team. Experience of iTrent and Sage payroll systems would be an advantage but is not essential.
