Are you a dynamic Maths Teacher, looking to make a difference in a good school which is working hard to attain outstanding status? Would you like to work where a strong leadership team has a clear vision focused on preparing pupils for life in a globalised world? If so please read on!

Randstad Education is a market leader in the recruitment of temporary and permanent Education staff. Here at the Chelmsford branch we find work for teachers and school support staff across the county of Essex. Currently we are working closely with a large secondary school in the Chelmsford area, to find a Maths teacher who can work 3 days a week, for the first half of the Spring term in the first instance.

The candidate will need to be able to teach Maths at Key Stages 3 4 and 5, and as well as this, will need to:-

*display effective planning in order that good teaching, learning and assessment takes place
*be able to identify where improvements and provision for support for pupils is required
*focus on development of pupils in key stage 3 as opposed to just focussing on exam performance of key stage 4 and 5 students
*guide pupils in the selection of extra-curricular opportunities to help develop them socially and improve confidence
*have strong classroom control. Behaviour at the school is good but the pupils must be kept on task during lessons to secure the best outcomes

In return the school can offer outstanding leadership, which tackles areas of underperformance in all areas of the school. This has helped maintain a balanced budget, good levels of effective teaching, an exceptional curriculum on offer, and continually improving exam results. The sixth form provides an excellent, well-rounded education for students, where the range of academic pathways, including A level and International Baccalaureate, and the advice provided by the school, are highly effective. This means in the sixth form, students have the option to further open the subjects they study, or to specialise more.

These factors, combined with the preparation pupils receive for their next steps in life, mean that pupils' outcomes are excellent.

If you think this sounds like the kind of school and environment within which you would like to progress your career, please do not hesitate to contact us here at the Chelmsford office of Randstad Education. We can also advise you on a number of other opportunities we are currently working on. We have competitive rates of pay and an extensive support network of departments and sister companies which can support you at any stage of your career. We look forward to hearing from you.
