Engineering Team Leader - North Norfolk

You will lead and support a team in ensuring maximum utilisation of resources and equipment to achieve efficient production of Right First Time products, this is to be achieved within the Company quality, safety and environmental frameworks whilst developing a team working and continuous improvement culture. To lead by example whilst demonstrating the correct behaviours associated with a professional management/Leadership role/

You will develop and implement action plans to address root cause of all failures.

Supervising assigned teams of engineers in their daily duties, managing : safety, hygiene, housekeeping, discipline, absence and sickness, holidays, training, communication, organisation and planning of workload.
Ensuring that engineers/contractors working under their direct and indirect supervision undertake that work in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner, which conforms to company standards and any legislation.
Being first point of call for engineers under their supervision out side of normal working hours, for which a mobile phone will be supplied
Managing contractors visiting or working onsite, including permit to work, contractor induction, risk assessments and method statement.
Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Being responsible for attending to breakdowns promptly and ensuring all work orders and planned maintenance tasks are completed, delivering training and support to move towards minor maintenance tasks being undertaken by operator level functions.
Working with departmental leaders and others developing a pride in the work areas keeping them clean, tidy and ensuring works do not compromise quality or safety.
Promoting team work across all functions including production, technical and new product development.
Ensuring individual accountability for best practise and keeping skills up to date through analysis of Training requirements of individual team members and OTIF Joint Agreement documentation.
Carrying out any other duties as reasonably requested by the Engineering or Maintenance Managers, production or shift managers or other members of the site management team.

The successful candidate will have Food Manufacturing experience within an FMCG environment, PC literate with experience of Microsoft Office programs, Pirana CMMS, PLC fault finding/diagnostics along with a strong health and safety ethic and HACCP would be beneficial.
