NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has a number of opportunities for Theatre Nurses and ODP's, qualified and newly qualified to work in a range of locations and specialties in the Clyde area.

Our work is varied and allows us time to provide a well supported teaching environment offering a good training scheme to ODPs, qualified and newly qualified nurses. This commitment to teaching and training creates an excellent opportunity for newly qualified nurses to learn new skills and for experienced nurses to transition to working within the Theatres Environment.

Our Theatre Nurses rotate between the areas of Scrub/Circulating, Anaesthetics and Post operative recovery and we provide a 24 hour emergency service. Staff are encouraged and supported to work within the three different areas. This provides flexibility and also opportunities for personal professional development.

We are seeking to appoint candidates who have experience in or a genuine interest in working within a Theatres Environment.

We are offering a range of shift patterns both full and part time. All posts involve out of hours working including weekends and night shift.

We have opportunities available within Day surgery and In Patient Theatres. Surgical specialties include:

General Surgery
Laparoscopic Surgery
Ophthalmic surgery
Orthopaedics Elective
Orthopaedic Trauma Urology

Please do not complete an online application, there is an Application Form on the 2nd page of the Job Pack this should be completed and brought with you on the day.

At this event you will have the opportunity to learn more about the positions available, be interviewed by our selection panel and if selected will be given a conditional offer of employment (subject to the completion of satisfactory pre employment checks) within theatres.
