Ensure that all team members are suitably trained, understand their objectives, standards required, are reliable and punctual in their attendance and are motivated to the job.
Effectively manage team members under your control to ensure they give a good days work, follow all the rules and regulations, procedures and take appropriate action to address work and take appropriate steps to correct behavior that deviates from the required.
Be responsible for the performance, conduct, attendance and disciplinary matters for all employees in your team
Liaise with your Department Manager / HR to attract, recruit and retain staff with the required cultural fit for the business
Liaise and communicate with the management team to ensure full hand over of departments and issues
Facilitate own team to achieve the required output in the most efficient manner and build a strong team for future development needs- Redruth
Develop own team to achieve current and future business needs
Promote training and development activities throughout the whole department to develop people to their maximum potential for the business needs
Follow the correct procedure to conduct return to work interviews after absences and ensure that short and long term absences are properly managed, with the assistance of HR and the OHN in line with Company Procedure
Hold daily briefing sessions with your team advising them of daily targets, previous day’s results and any future news
Listen to ideas and opinions of your team
Ensure that up to date chemical handling training is provided and completed for all relevant staff
Develop staff to achieve their maximum individual and team potential
Ensure that all team members at all levels understand their part in achieving departmental operational objectives
Assist other departments with training needs regarding hygiene
Ensure that all staff are trained on new equipment or cleaning materials/chemicals
