Finance Business Partner - Commercial, London: Circa. £65,000 + excellent benefits

For a global, commercial organisation with its HQ in London, we're recruiting a Senior Finance Business Partner - Commercial to lead on financial aspects of their Global contracts and Partnerships bid work. This role is pivotal in maintaining finance systems and controls for the Commercial Directorate and to ensure the implementation of good practice in commercial proposal development throughout the organisation. The Senior Finance Business Partner, Commercial will support the use of the Contract Pricing Model and associated tools as well as developing and managing a team of 4 staff.

Main Duties:

  • Support the planning process including the development of business plans and commercial modelling; Support the winning of new business
  • Robust financial appraisal of new product development using pricing and costing model, ensuring consistency on a global basis and that product benefits can be measured against investment cost
  • Lead the development and maintenance of best practice for the Pricing and Costing Model working with all global regions
  • Improve processes and lead on the implementation of systems and process improvements in commercial finance
  • Relationship, stakeholder and key account management - work with internal and external clients to develop tools and support product development
  • Identify and deliver commercial finance training
  • Support regional bids for grants, working with operational teams with assessments and financial reviews
  • Oversee the reporting against KPI for commercial finance
  • Lead the Commercial Finance Team and champion ideas for performance improvement
  • Risk Management and Compliance - Ensure full compliance to rules and regulations
  • Develop V4M and enhanced reporting approached to strengthen commercial tends and bids

Person Specification:

  • CCAB qualified accountant with proven experience of successfully managing and delivering in similar roles
  • Proven experience in international contract management, contract pricing and modelling
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent experience of financial planning, monitoring and reporting processes
  • Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in the identification and delivery of performance improvements
  • Ideally experience of working for INGO's
  • Ideally experience in planning, managing and reporting on EC, DFID and USAID contracts
  • Experience from international and multi-cultural organisations is essential
  • Significant experience of financial leadership including the management of staff is required
  • Ideally SAP experience
