Job Title: Web Developer

Location: Burnley

Salary: £25,000 to £27,000

  • 1-2 years experience in a fast-paced agency/in-house environment.
  • A flair for exciting design.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Develop website and email designs
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Undertaking client meetings, assessing and interpreting client needs liaising regularly with the client throughout the whole process
  • Undertaking website development projects as directed and managing your own projects from concept to completion ensuring that deadlines are met as agreed with client
  • Working with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Wordpress, Magento and Cpanel / WHM server management
  • Keeping abreast of developments in your field of work and attending appropriate training when directed
  • Manage the company servers and maintain customer accounts ensuring no downtime experience dealing with system breakdowns in a timely fashion
  • Keeping up to date records of purchases relating to software and plug ins and general business admin
  • Ensuring all time spent on client work or purchases is logged for invoicing purposes
  • Day to day admin, answering the phone, dealing with routine tasks
  • Contribute to business development taking a solutions focused approach

Essential skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and PHP for WordPress
  • Excellent skills in Photoshop and Illustrator
  • SEO and Analytics knowledge
  • Must be Mac literate
  • Excellent mathematical and literacy skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to take a project from concept to completion
  • The ability to use your own initiative and time management skills
  • Skills in writing, attention-to-detail, negotiation and presentation
  • Comfortable in taking informal client briefs
  • Have the sufficient experience to question briefs, review client requirements and challenge / recommend alternatives
