We have an exciting opportunity within our Change Portfolio Management Office for a PMO Hub Manager – 12 month fixed term contract.

What you'll be doing

The PMO Hub Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of PMO (Tower) Managers and PMO Analysts (known as the PMO Hub Team) to support delivery of consistent and effective project & programme management processes across the portfolio.
This will include providing the Portfolio, Programme and Project Managers with the right level and quality of PMO resource to support them, understanding any skills gaps or development needs and ensuring the team is fully trained and resourced to meet the demand. You will manage the performance and outputs of the team, working closely with the central CPMO team to understand and deliver any changes to the service as a result of process improvements in project and programme governance, assurance and reporting best practice.

The Knowledge & Skills you’ll have

Excellent ability to manage, mentor and lead a team
Excellent people management, staff development and performance management skills with proven ability to coach and mentor others
Proactive, forward looking, flexible attitude with the ability to challenge constructively - knows how to get things done
Experience of working with multiple business areas in a relationship management capacity;
Strong stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills
Strong communication skills – can make the complex simple (in verbal, written and presentation styles)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to deal with ambiguity
Vision and value focused and experience of reporting and presenting information to Senior Management level
Excellent Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and SharePoint skills.

Previous PMO Management or Programme / Portfolio Management experience
Portfolio level progress report production and analysis to differing levels of stakeholders
Industry standard PMO processes and methodologies
Industry standard project and programme methodologies
Up to date Practitioner level Management of Portfolio qualification (OGC), P30, Prince2 or equivalent or a commitment to study and achieve within two years
Experienced in the use of project and portfolio management tools.
