To be responsible and accountable for the delivery of evidence based Physiotherapy services across NHS Lanarkshire, providing operational management, clinical and professional leadership and development for all Physiotherapy and support workforce across NHS Lanarkshire (approx.260 staff).

The job has three key components:
Professional Lead - to provide expert advice, support, direction and leadership in relation to Physiotherapy clinical practice and professional development, to all physiotherapy staff and to the Director of AHP’s, Nurse and Midwifes and the Associate Director of AHP’s.

To provide expert professional advice to the NHS Board, executive directors, general managers and all other staff in relation to physiotherapy issues.

Physiotherapy Head - to be accountable for whole system physiotherapy service delivery, including the management of budget, physical resources, performance, policy development, service review, staff development and service development including partnership working with appropriate agencies.

Responsible for highly specialist clinical caseload within own area of clinical expertise.

You must be a registered physiotherapist with HCPC, and be educated to/ working towards/ operating at Masters level, with experience in service planning, project management, and performance monitoring/ reporting.
