An excellent opportunity has arisen in South Yorkshire for a Performance & Data Analyst for an initial period of 3 months.

The main purpose of the role is to help improve services by providing and analysing information for the Children's directorate and for the wider Children's partnership, supporting the establishment of robust performance management and the monitoring of performance and quality of children's services with specific reference to, but not exclusively, social care services.

Principal duties and responsibilities

To analyse data and performance verbally and in written form, using a variety of software and graphical and tabular representation tailored to the use of specific audiences.
To provide performance information and analytical insight and challenging commentary to support the manager on time and to quality standard in line with agreed timescales.
To utilise national and local databases in order to benchmark performance and be able to recognise, short term spikes and longer term trends and patterns of performance and be able to provide reasoned explanations or hypotheses.
To maintain the performance database by collating inputting processing and retrieving information and data and to provide regular reports.
To work collaboratively with other team members and to support colleagues with competing work pressures and demands.
To display a ‘whole system’ perspective of children’s services recognising the interdependencies between services

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills as well as advanced Ms Excel skills with previous experience working with children's services data ( Liquid Logic, Capita, Schools Census)
