Sheridan Maine is currently working with an innovative company in the Basingstoke area who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will have an understanding of IFRS and will also have had group experience, ideally in a PLC environment.

The role will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Monthly consolidation and group reporting
  • Consolidation of the latest forecast for the financial year
  • Preparing financial board presentations
  • Coordinating the interim review with the external auditors
  • Preparation of interim financial statements

The successful candidate will be able to balance a hands-on, flexible approach whilst being an excellent problem solver. They should be an effective communicator and be able to maintain composure in high-pressure situations whilst working along side others in the team. Due to the high level of responsibility of this position, it would be of advantage to be recently ACA or ACCA qualified with advanced Excel skills.
