Title: Production Engineer Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 depending upon experience Location: Sheffield Duration: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week, 9am - 5pm Benefits: Company Pension and Life Assurance Scheme, Westfield Healthcare Scheme, Free Car Parking, Staff Canteen, 25 Days Annual Leave plus 8 Stats (33 in total) THE CLIENT: Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of high integrity steel fixings and employs over 500 people nationwide. Aiming to be the biggest supplier of steel fixings, our client has 3 sites located across the UK as well as another 10 overseas offices. THE JOB: Working at the head office in Sheffield, as a Production Engineer you will be tasked with reviewing & developing processes to increase volume and efficiency whilst reporting to the Operations Manager. Day to duties will include but aren't limited to: Involvement in continuous improvement activities with the aim of reducing cost, and increasing quality and efficiencies Enforcing all site Health, Safety and Quality policy and procedures Managing specific production projects Analysing current manufacturing practice's and developing KPI's accordingly Providing engineering support to all elements of Sheffield's Manufacturing processes and Applying lean manufacturing principles on a daily basis Identify and eliminate NVA activities via application of lean/6 sigma principles CRITERIA: We are keen to speak to candidate's who have a strong background in engineering with the desire to progress and develop within a company.
