My Burnley based IT client are looking for a Junior JavaScript web developer to join an existing development team to help build next generation applications providing the best management software in their field.

They are re-platforming and expanding existing applications to platforms on their journey to a SaaS based model

My IT client are a software development company who specialise in developing management software in a SaaS model to improve the lives of children. The company are fast growing with some fantastic new offices which include free car parking, free on-site gym, regular training opportunities and social events.

As a JavaScript web applications developer you will have a chance to continually develop your abilities with new technologies and opportunities to grow your career with a rapidly expanding company.

Description

As the Junior JavaScript web developer in the team you will be working alongside senior developers to help build next generation applications.

You will be re-platforming and expanding existing applications to platforms on their journey to a SaaS based model.

The role will be a mixture of new build development projects from the ground up as well as maintenance of existing applications.

You will be responsible for both developing and testing of the applications.

Profile

As the Junior JavaScript web developer you will need:

Proficiency in JavaScript programming styles and frameworks including but not limited to JavaScript language ES5/6/7 and React, ReactNative and or Angular.

Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatability issues and ways to work around such issues

Experience of unit testing JavaScript

Solid understanding of web markup inclduing HTML5 and CSS3

The development environment is TDD/BDD so experience or exposure to this is needed.

Full understanding of full SDLC

The desirable skills are:

Experience with Node.JS familiar with RESTful API's

Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Grunt, Gulp.js and webpack

Version control with either svn or another tool

Working in an AGILE environment

Automation testing

Exposure to Microservices - NPM, Yarn, AWS or Docker

Job Offer

Working for this IT company based in Burnley you will have a salary package of £20-25,000 + an excellent benefits package which includes 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays which increase with service
