Our Client, a large international property group is looking for a temporary Group Accountant on a part time basis to assist with year end. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high quality management and financial information for a number of different entities. Likely to be for 3-4 months, an immediate start is required. The successful candidate will be able to work for 20-25 hours. Ideally, this would be spread over five days but can be flexible for the right candidate.

- Preparing journals in Excel and posting them to the general ledger
- P&L ledger maintenance (interest, finance charges, professional fees, cross cost-centre expenditure)
- Posting monthly bank transactions
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Keeping Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations up-to-date
- Keeping intercompany P&L / BS up to date
- Calculate and post re-occurring prepayments and accruals
- VAT return calculations
- Drawing up payment paperwork for authorisation
- Calculating and raising recharge invoices
- Raising sales invoices
- Raising purchase orders and liaising with the purchase ledger team to track invoices
- Maintaining paper files (e.g. signed bank reconciliations)
- Monthly cash balance reporting to Treasury
- Updating cashflow spreadsheets

- Hold a recognised accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Previous experience to cover all aspects of the role.
- Strong communication skills
- Good excel and systems experience
