Due to further expansion, this leading designer and manufacturer of quality electronic Control equipment for smart buildings, home automation, (IoT), are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer in Embedded Systems x2. It is a Product/Systems Development role within R&D which includes China and UK teams ( Bracknell, Berkshire, and Doncaster, South Yorkshire. )

This is a system engineering role, facilitating the breakdown of top level architectural plans to detailed technical specifications and other relevant documents suitable for design, development and test by engineers.

The Systems Engineer roles will require a good understanding of various electronic, hardware, software (embedded and application) sub-systems, together with development methodologies and documentation skills in a commercial environment. Team liaison experience in a multi-cultural, multi-site environment would be very beneficial.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting principal design architects with documentation generation and detailed work package breakdown for design work required to support the development of products. This includes detailed technical requirements and expected outputs for individuals and/or departmental teams. Independent working and ensuring that the requirements are clearly understood by all parties is a key requirement.

The Knowledge, experience, skills required for the Systems Engineer include :
* A good degree in electronic engineering, physics, computing or similar subject
* Sound understanding of requirements management and the system design process
* Knowledge of the full engineering lifecycle from requirements capture through to test and integration, and all associated documentation
* Sub-System design from specification to production (several completed projects)
* Experience of hands-on programming
* Produce good technical documentation (specifications, work breakdowns)
* Good independent and team working skills, mentoring style
* Strong problem solving capabilities.

It would be desirable if you have the following skills, experience :
* Multi-cultural and multi-site experience
* Hardware and/or sub-GHz Short Range Data Wireless experience
* Experience of internet connectivity and related protocols
* Experience of low level programming ( Assembler, C )
* Low power / battery operated design techniques ( hardware & software )
* System Design for high volume manufacturing and testing
* Product testing to meet relevant EN standards & approvals.
* Knowledge of Design tools (e.g. Sparx EA, Rhapsody, UML, SYSML, Cradle ).
