Mass Participation New Product Development Manager

About the role Our Mass Participation team have developed a number of key fundraising initiatives, aimed at increasing awareness and generating income for the British Heart Foundation, events include Wear It Beat It, Dechox and MyMarathon. We want to continually improve and innovate our fundraising portfolio to meet the expectations of our fundraisers and to raise funds in our fight for every heartbeat. You will play a lead role in the creation and implementation of new products that drive both supporter engagement and income to fund British Heart Foundations research projects. You'll lead a portfolio of events through their product lifecycle, project managing a cross functional team to deliver against our objectives and KPI's. Collaborating with our insight team you'll ensure that our plans are audience centred, remain contemporary and that we continue to learn. You'll be at the heart of these ground-breaking projects alongside a dedicated team. Engaging and working with key groups across BHF, including Marketing, Press & PR and Events. Responsible for writing business cases to secure investment for new ideas, you'll effectively manage the annual budget ensuring that activities are delivered within budget and performance is effectively tracked and risks and opportunities are flagged and acted upon. About you The successful applicant will have strong project management skills and a proven track record in managing complex projects within budget and to deadline. You will also have an in-depth understanding of donor motivations and the ability to work across teams in order to achieve the best outcomes for the BHF. With great communication skills and a creative mind set you will be able to develop strong working relationships with key internal and external contacts quickly, ensuring an excellent level of customer care is provided to those who take part in our events and our supporters.
