Finance Trainer Our client is a national charity supporting people with learning disabilities and their families. Everything they do focuses on helping the people they support live the best life possible. They are committed to supporting people with learning disabilities to live the life they choose. Position: Finance Trainer Location: Newcastle Contract: FTC - 4 months from February 2018– you must be available to start immediately Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week Salary - £35,296 pa (pro-rata) plus £320 car allowance per month plus business fuel Closing date: Friday 12 January 2018 Telephone/1st interview: Monday 15 January 2018 If successful through to 2nd interview: Monday 25 January 2018 Start date: Thursday 1 February 2018 About the role: Their Finance department works collaboratively with its stakeholders, actively looking for opportunities to improve its delivery of analysis and insight to support the organisation’s delivery of financial sustainability, performance targets and outstanding services. They are undertaking a transformation programme to secure its financial sustainability. As a part of the programme they are implementing new finance processes, procedures and systems across the operation nationwide in the first quarter of 2018. This change will impact the composition and complexity of the workloads of all administrative and financial personnel in the organisation who will be engaged and trained through one to one, online, web and individual training schedules for a go live date at the start of the new financial year in April 2018. You will be key in delivering the training and reinforcing the new processes and procedures. This is a great opportunity to arrive, land, and deliver the following: - Gain an understanding of proposed processes, procedures and workflows, - Engage in writing and delivering finance training and process training to administrative staff, - Provide support with issues, queries, understanding, reporting and deadlines, - Provide insight on challenges with systems process and people, - Proactively develop solutions to drive efficiencies and liaising with relevant parties to roll out improvements, - Ensure and reinforce adherence to prescribed processes, - Assist with remedial writing and training for processes, - Provide expert finance support for technical issues. About you: To be considered for this role you will have a relevant accountancy qualification along with experience of training or upskilling staff (especially non-financial personnel), with some project / process analysis skills. You will have strong communication skills, be able to work remotely, be resilient and possess good common sense. You will need to hold a current, clean driving licence and have access to your own transport.
