Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required to join a global company in the Warrington area. This is a fantastic opportunity, with security and long term career prospects. As a maintenance engineer you will maintain production equipment used in the process of bottling and packing of premium drink products. You will tackle first line production emergency breakdowns, identify engineering or process solutions to improve operational performance and generate solutions to repetitive breakdowns through utilising your experience gained. In addition you will maintain the ethos of continuous improvement through idea generation and suggestions. Assist as requested with installation and commissioning of new equipment and Plant layout changes. Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance for all Production equipment as directed by Shift Engineers Manager. Take an active part in the improvement of the PPM ensuring its effectiveness. Ensure exceptional Health and safety awareness in manufacturing processes. and use of best practice in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a similar role in a food production or other bottle filling environments. Have good technical understanding of processes, packaging, liquid filling and utilities equipment. Be familiar with work shop practices in the use of electrical hand tools, welding (stainless preferably), hot work operations, grinding, drilling, milling and lathe use. Understand the processes of Palletising, Labelling, liquid filling, capping and packing. Multi-Skilled Engineer with direct electrical experience would be advantageous. Knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene in operations required. A self starter with ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. Have strong problem solving skills, operational understanding of OEE,5s and Lean manufacturing techniques to process improvements and be able to communicate these to team members.
