My client a global Insurance company are recruiting for a DBA Database Administrator (DBA)

Your role will be to develop and optimise the current SQL Server estate at to make it an efficient place to place its data strategies.

Additionally a software deployment strategy is being developed and you will be heavily involved in this development utilising DevOps in a way that makes sense for a company this size. The firm has been through a period of transition and is now seeking excellence in everything they do.

Key Duties;
*Installation and configuration of SQL Servers
*Monitoring of SQL Server estate - SQL 2008 - 2016
*Constant improvement of SQL Server estate
*Contacting vendors for technical support
*Development and testing support
*Developing and maintaining Devops solution
*Controlling and monitoring user access to databases
*Co-ordinating and managing database changes.
*Work with manager to ensure that risks associated with own role are understood and managed
*Assist in identifying and implementing processes to control risks particularly with own role
*Responsible for reporting any existing or new risks, as well as significant control failings/weaknesses or events that may arise, to the Risk team or your manager
