SQL DBA - SQL Server - BI Stack - Insurance - MS SQL Server / SSIS / SSAS / SSRS

SQL Server Production DBA - Insurance

Location: Essex.

SQL Server / SSAS / SSIS / SSRS / T-SQL / Insurance / Performance Tuning / Production

£50,000-£60,000 with bonus and benefits.

Urgent requirement for a SQL Database Administrator at a major software supplier to the Lloyd's of London Insurance market to provide enterprise database administration and support in a Microsoft SQL server environment.

The role's responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the rest of the IT department to ensure accurate, optimised and organised SQL server databases.
  • Ensuring that the correct information is available immediately to those in need of the information.
  • Investigating errors or issues and enact swift resolution to any database problems that arise.
  • Working on performance tuning of existing SQL server databases to ensure speed that helps to underpin the rest of the operations undertaken by the business.
  • Enacting backup and restores.
  • Deploying releases to client's databases.

SQL DBA - SQL Server - BI Stack - Insurance - MS SQL Server / SSIS / SSAS / SSRS

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a DBA working with large databases as well as:

  • Proven SQL and T-SQL skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Thorough investigative skills.
  • Comfortable with responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product.
  • Experience of SQL Server BI Stack would be advantageous as would relevant Microsoft Certification.

The role also provides an opportunity for the candidate to upskill in all areas of SQL as well as start or extend their Microsoft Certification as part of the company's Microsoft Partner status.
