This is an exciting role for a Cloud Solutions Specialist / Infrastructure Manager with expertise in Microsoft Azure, to lead a small, talented infrastructure team (currently x3 Engineers) for a leading Engineering company in Bury, Greater Manchester, ultimately managing and delivering their overall IT function and plan, including contribution to IT Strategy.
We are therefore seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager, Cloud Engineer or IT Manager, who can demonstrate experience leading and mentoring a small IT / Support team whilst remaining hands-on with other exciting Cloud Infrastructure projects, specialising in Azure. Responsibilities in this role will include the development of their Azure based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) as well as the Architecture, Build and Deployment of their infrastructure to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency.
Experience working within a Devops (Development Operations) environment would be highly advantageous, as would exposure to IoT (Internet of Things) / IaC (Infrastructure as Code) projects. As the Infrastructure Lead you will demonstrate your passion for new tech and the experience to introduce these efficiently into a business environment, whilst motivating and driving forward an IT team.
Along with Microsoft Azure (PaaS / IaaS / SQL), the successful Cloud Solutions Manager will also be able to demonstrate strong core infrastructure skills in the following areas;
* Microsoft Stack
* Enterprise Server and Networking
* Network Security
* Office 365 implementation
* Enterprise Storage
* Microsoft SQL Server
Certifications in Azure, although not essential, would be beneficial too, including the likes of MCSA: Cloud Platform, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or MCSD: Solutions Architect - any of which would show your dedication to furthering your career within Cloud technology.
