Role – Maintenance Engineer Location – Thetford, Norfolk Working Hours – Full time hours – 6am – 2.30pm, overtime Capacity of role – Temporary to Permanent position Pay Rate – Depending on experience – between £10.00 - £13.00 per hour Our client who is a reputable and successful engineering company is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their busy repair team split between two sites. Applicants will have a formal mechanical training background and will possess hard working, reliable and willing to learn attributes. Responsibility for the job role is - Assist the Automation and Facilities Manager in routine maintenance and attending to breakdowns of plant and machinery at both Thetford sites. Main duties will include , but not limited to – ? Ensuring the planned maintenance of machinery and infrastructure is carried out. There is a wide range of machine shop equipment (full training will be given on the machinery) ? Attending to repairs of the machinery as required ? Installation of new machinery ? Ensuring all legislative systems are maintained – Lights, alarms, machine safety systems. ? Provide general building maintenance support as required ? Provide production support if required ? Look for, raise and deploy opportunities for continuous improvement ? Work flexibly where possible to support the business when needed ? Attend training requested by the company which is linked to the development of your job role ? Ensure waste is kept to a minimum to benefit both the company and the environment ?
