Job Title: Finance Manager – Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) Req ID: 105417BR Location: Harlow Summary of Role Reporting to Head of Finance Defence, the Mission Critical Solutions Finance Lead is responsible for providing high quality business partnering and accurate, actionable financial analysis and insight to both to the MCS Business Lead and to Finance Leaders across Raytheon UK. The individual must be able to work in a high pressure environment and will be relied upon to provide proactive strategic input to the business area managers and provide leadership across the Business Programme Finance team. The individual will ensure compliance with financial governance and policy requirements; 5 year plan strategic planning; project accounting (EACs); business forecasting; balance sheet reviews; revenue & fee trading plans; cash and foreign exchange management. Main Duties • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Finance Analysts, providing control and guidance on program accounting and financial analysis. • Part of the MCS Leadership team, acting as business partner and ensuring governance and financial stewardship of the mission area. • Responsible for MCS financial management and reporting on key metrics including Actuals and Forecast. • Active business partnering to ensure informed reporting of risks & opportunities, actuals and forecast variance analysis. • Support timely EAC development and review with analysis and recommendations based on recent performance metrics. • Preparation of MCS Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and 5 Year Plan in line with Corporate strategy. • Provide innovative solutions to Business issues within RTN policy and SOX compliance. • Leading and championing r 6sigma initiatives within the Business Program Finance Team to build efficiencies of reporting and finance process. • Building network with all Stakeholders, including US Finance Teams. • Supporting Gate Reviews for New Business including advising on: pricing strategy, basis-of-estimate generation; foreign exchange management; risk and opportunities management; contract negotiation support. • Other ad-hoc analysis as required by the business and wider finance teams. Candidate Requirements Essential • Qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA). • Resilience to work in a fast-paced organization, balancing the demands of three discreet product areas. • Experience working in a Matrix Organization, interfacing on Program development and execution within the Program Team of 5. • Good communication and presentation skills. • Proven man-management experience with the enthusiasm and motivation to develop a team over multiple locations. • 6-sigma mind-set to effect sustainable Functional and Program efficiencies.
