An Information Security Manager is required to join a bespoke software house based near Stourbridge.

TITLE:
Information Security Manager / Compliance Manager
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
GDPR, Data Protection, Information Security, ISO 27001
BENEFIT PACKAGE:
up to £35,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas shut down, pension
LOCATION:
Stourbridge, commutable from Birmingham, Worcester, Redditch, Wolverhampton and Solihull

We are looking for an Information Security Manager to work for a successful Software House based in Stourbridge. The ideal Information Security Manager will be an experienced information security professional and will be involved with GDPR implementation and data protection governance.

The responsibilities of the role will be to ensure that the company achieves the relevant standards of information security and preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information assets through the company. This will be achieved by ensuring the company complies with all relevant Information Security legislation. This includes the General data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Privacy Act, Computer Misuse Act and the Network and Information Security Directive.

The Information Security Manager will be taking responsibility of the information security management, the role will involve being aware of current threats and events that may compromise the business and advising where to mitigate and control risks. This will be done by undertaking regular risk assessments.

The company offer dealer based solutions to the automotive industry. The team of 30 are made up of developers, project managers and sales and support staff, and the benefits included are a car allowance, company phone, pension, death in service, one day off per month for personal development and health care. They are looking to put the Information Security Manager through their GDPR Certifications.

Must Have Skills

  • Knowledge of The Data Protection Act and the GDPR with the ability to interpret and advise company staff on this by producing policies and procedures.
  • Have a working knowledge of ISO 2700/2 and its policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of how to identify and resolve security threats.
  • Thorough understanding of data protection governance
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Great organisation skills
  • Self-motivated
