Lloyd Walsh Consulting is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to join a large, well established & dynamic machining & fabrication company. Our client is always looking at ways to improve both existing & new processes and are looking to add someone with a track record of delivering improvements to the team. Our client supplies a variety of industries (Oil, Gas, Marine & Medical) with a combination of small to large components & assemblies manufactured to the tightest tolerances. The role of Manufacturing Engineer will be to improve, optimise & increase the capacity of the current manufacturing processes whilst creating and implementing new processes into the business to support the business needs. As Manufacturing Engineer your duties will include (not limited to): • Assessing, improving & developing current & new process processes • Improving process flow • Assessing & changing factory / cell layout • Improving non value added activities & processes • Create and deliver plans to upgrade machinery & capabilities • Effective & swift problem solving using root cause & 8D • Work with existing and new suppliers to constantly focus on cost down. • Implement and roll out lean initiatives across the group. We are seeking an experienced, effective, pragmatic and influential Manufacturing engineer with a passion for delivering change. You must have an engineering background and a track record of delivering improvements within a comparable environment. The successful Manufacturing Engineer can expect a starting salary of £45k + Benefits and a great opportunity to work with autonomy with the full support of the senior management.
