Job Title: Account Manager Location: Leicestershire Salary : £30,000 - £40,000K dependant on experience The Role Our Client based in Leicester is looking for an Account Manager whose role will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to gain repeat business from existing customers. To increase sales, value-added volumes and revenue into the Company. To ensure an excellent customer after-sales service. When required to produce accurate and cost-effective estimates for orders generated to optimise profitability for the accounts for which the post holder is responsible. Responsibilities * Generate business from assigned accounts and increase turnover in line with target growth which will be measured quarterly/monthly. * Maintain regular contact with assigned clients to obtain project/order briefs and prepare estimates for same, build relationships and maximise sales opportunities. * Follow up all estimates in a timely manner. * Taking briefs from clients on new projects, offering client advice on best way of manufacturing to meet cost and timescales. * Work closely with CM in the planning, production and execution of a sales programme that generates revenue for the company with a view to exceeding set targets. * To manage a portfolio of accounts. * Ensure quality and delivery issues are dealt with in a timely manner through the Project Manager and QHSE Manager. * Brief all internal stakeholders to deliver to cost, quality, time and estimated targets * To identify value added opportunities and ensure the necessary follow up promoting the company as the overall solution to customer requirements. The Candidate The successful candidate would have at least 2 years experience in a similar role, extensive knowledge of Point of Sale/Retail sector and excellent commercial awareness and business acumen. Ideally, you will have good knowledge of engineering industry, strong working knowledge of sales and estimating and understanding of sheet metal. Sales qualification or relevant experience and qualification in an engineering discipline or similar is desirable. You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and be a good relationship builder. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in account management and good working knowledge MS Office. You will have an effective time management skills with excellent planning and organisational skills and strong IT knowledge. Experience of problem-solving and handling customer complaints as well as Sales and negotiation skills will be advantages.
